Energising Breakfast

When morning rolls around again it can be a struggle to get out of bed, especially if your diet is lacking lots of energising foods.

Here is a really quick and easy breakfast to throw together in the morning which will give you the energy boost you need and keep you feeling satisfied right through the morning.

All you need is a few simple ingredients:

1 banana

1 TBS natural peanut butter (or other nut butter)

2 slices sourdough bread

Ingredients for your energising smoothie:

1 cup milk (any you like)

2 heaped TBS natural yoghurt (I use coconut yoghurt)

1 teaspoon cacao powder

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon honey

ice if you want it a bit colder

This delicious breakfast will take no longer than 5 minutes to throw together.

Here’s what to do:

Pop your bread in the toaster.

While your bread is toasting add all of the ingredients for your smoothie into your blender or nutribullet. Turn it on and whiz up for about 30-40 seconds.

While your smoothie is whizzing away your toast has hopefully have popped. Spread on the peanut butter and slice up the bananas to put on top. Turn off your smoothie and pour into a glass.

That’s it. You’re done.
